Inspection Reports
The Rocketman provides you with two reports from each inspection, an electronic "Summary Report" and a hard copy "Detailed Report".
Summary Report: On the same day as the inspection, the Rocketman e-mails you an electronic "Summary Report". This report is 3-6 pages long and includes the inspection findings and supporting digital photos. The report is broken down into two categories:
- Defects - Significant items in which the function of a component or system is degraded or impaired.
- Discrepancies - Items which warrant attention, but which cannot be considered defects.
Real estate agents use the Summary Report to initiate a Request for Repairs.
Detailed Report: A few days later, the Rocketman hand delivers the Detailed Report. The Detailed Report is a tabbed document. In addition to the findings and photos found in the Summary Report, the Detailed Report contains:
- Information about the construction of your home.
- Information about the major components and appliances of your home - the manufacturer, model number, serial number, and date of manufacture.
- Radon test report, if radon testing was ordered.
- A ten-page home maintenance guide to help you maintain your home.
The Detailed Report is a useful reference document that you will want to keep for future reference.
